Sam is the Founder and Expert Consultant at Obv!ous Market!ng and specialises in creating practical marketing growth strategies for ambitious growth businesses around the world. He has been featured by the major global media from Google News, Yahoo! Finance, ABC, FOX, CBS News and NBC.


Sam has worked in marketing since joining Procter & Gamble, one of the world’s foremost marketing organisations in 2001. Since then, he has worked for major manufacturers, major retailers and has consulted many of the world’s leading brands including Virgin, O2, and L’Oréal. He has a far reaching network of academic and commercial contacts and connections to draw on to inform his consulting.


In demand as a speaker and marketing and innovation consultant, Sam has chaired conferences and inspired audiences worldwide. His clients are located around the world from the USA and Europe to Africa, Asia and Australasia.


Sam has run Obv!ous Market!ng since 2003. He has previously held branding and commercial positions at The Healthy Marketing Team, Design Bridge, Procter & Gamble, Kraft Foods and Walgreens Boots Alliance.


Sam Waterfall and Obvious Marketing work across all sectors but serve clients in the food, beverage and supplement sectors exclusively through The Healthy Marketing Team on a contract basis, providing expert branding and innovation consultancy to clients worldwide.


Sam has a BA in Financial & Business Economics from Newcastle University Business School and a Masters in Entrepreneurship from Durham University Business School. In 2015 he qualified in Marketing Strategy from the Johnson Graduate School of Management at Cornell University in the USA.
